American Idol 7 cuts another contestant. This time it is Ramiele Malubay, a Filipina who had grown up in the States. The judges said that her performance this week was very forgettable and the song was again another wrong choice for her. Well, this week is Dolly Parton week, where the Idol contestants have been coached by singer Dolly Parton to sing her songs. Ramiele sung “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” who garnered the lowest votes from America this week.

Ramiele was joined by Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White in the bottom three. The eight remaining Idol hopefuls include: Jason Castro, 20; early fan favorite David Archuleta, 17; emerging “Idol” star David Cook, 25; Michael Johns, 29; Syesha Mercado, 21, and Carly Smithson, 24.

Who’s the best cover?

Chris Cornell covered Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” into a rock version in his album Chris Cornell: Unplugged in Sweden last 2007. While David Cook of American Idol 7 covered the covered song on the American Idol challenge last week. Lots of the two artists fans are arguing who did best? Chris or David?

Well, let’s not forget to give credit to Michael Jackson who have done the original pop version of the song and had come up with the original lyrics, arrangement and flipping. He truly deserves the credit.

Creator Chris Carter, writer Frank Spotnitz and other crew members had a meeting last Wednesday to discuss the “X-Files” TV series - and declassify some information about the upcoming film sequel of the X-Files movie.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be back as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from the 1993-2002 TV Series entitled the “X-Files”. The first movie was named “The X-Files: Fight the Future.” which was entered into the big screen on 1998. The duo will be back with the sequel which has a pending title due to the decision clashes between Carter and the FOX Network.

Check out this “X-Files” 2 movie teaser. Movie will be shown on the 25th of July 2008.

Another movie version of the popular Marvel comic and TV series, The Incredible Hulk will be showing on the big screen on the 13th of June this year. This version is based loosely on the 1970’s TV series with the same name though a lot of the parts had been changed. The Incredible Hulk main casts include Edward Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/The Abomination, William Hurt as Gen. Thunderbolt Ross, Ty Burrell as Dr. Samuel Sterns and many more. Watch the Incredible Hulk Trailer below.

At a small town in Kansas a 35 year old woman was reported to authorities for being stuck in her boyfriend’s toilet sit apparently for 2 straight years. According to Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple as he told the Associated Press, “She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body. It is hard to imagine. … I still have a hard time imagining it myself.” He said that her body fat had grown attached to the toilet sit and her legs had been atrophied.

Authorities said that they have found the women sitting on the toilet sit and somehow disoriented and told the police that she doesn’t want to leave and that she was OK. She was brought to the hospital after some convincing, of course with the toilet attached to her, which is very, very unusual. The police had pried the toilet bowl using a prybar and the hospital peopel were the ones who pried lose the bowl on the woman’s body.

The upcoming movie The Forbidden Kingdom will be opening a month from now. It is the most anticipated team up of the two Chinese martial arts movie veterans, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. The Forbidden Kingdom tells the story of a teenager who made an astonishing discovery related to the monkey king. He find himself in ancient China with 3 extraordinaire warriors to free the imprisoned monkey king.

The film was directed by Rob Minkoff (Stuart Little, Lion King) and original screenplay by John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo. The film was based on the story of the Monkey King. Fight scenes where choreographed by action choreographer Wo Ping (The Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) , and the director of photography is Peter Pau (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). The Forbidden Kingdom was produced by Casey Silver (Ladder 49, Hidalgo, the upcoming Leatherheads) of Casey Silver Productions. The film will be released on the US on April 18th.

This week’s top movie grosser is 10,000 BC which have received praise and criticism as well. It earned $35.7 million dollars on its first week. The plot is about what life had been 10,000 years before Christ, what animals and edifices you can see in the particular period etc. But well, some of the details in the movie are in contradiction to the actual facts. Here is a short trailer for 10,000 BC. Watch it in the cinemas and judge it by what you perceive it is.

President George Bush endorses John McCain as the bearer of the Republican party for presidency this coming election. Though its not yet official, John McCain have clinched the lead on the GOP nomination by getting the requisite 1,191 convention delegates. Bush had made this effort despite his unpopularity on the population in order to gain a lead for the Republicans on the presidency. Since, Obama and Clinton is still trying to win the Democrat slate, McCain will try to solidify his presence in the Republican side.

Bush said on the Rose Garden as he appears with McCain, “”John showed incredible courage, strength of character and perseverance in order to get to this moment and that’s exactly what we need in a president — somebody who can handle the tough decisions, somebody who won’t flinch in the face of danger.”
