Starbucks is trying to place their business back on track.  Today, Tuesday April 8, 2008 Starbucks has a free coffee promotion to launch its new “everyday” brew, in an attempt to boost sales.

Starbucks will promote a new brew called Pike Place Roast. According to, Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz,  Pike Place Roast has a bold flavor, smooth finish and “subtle, rich flavors of cocoa and toasted nuts.” The product will be freshly roasted, hand-scooped, freshly ground and brewed in small batches that sit for no longer than 30 minutes.

On Tuesday customers will get a free 8 oz. cup of Pike Place Roast at 12 to 12:30 p.m. EDT at any US based Starbucks coffes shop. Starbucks will sell the new product, in both regular and decaf, alongside rotating coffees of the week.
