After the Columbine shooting last year, Northern Illinois University unfortunately suffered the same fate. Yesterday, a university grad student entered a student lecture hall and opened fire to approximately 162 students killing 6 and injuring 22 others. The killer was identified as 27-year-old Steven Kazmierczak, a sociology graduate students of the university but has not been enrolled this year. Police are investigating the life of the killer which might led up to the reason why he killed and killed himself afterwards. Since the shooting occurred on Valentines Day, investigators are checking if Steven might have been on a binge of revenge due to matters of the heart.

Kazmierczak used a shotgun and two pistols in the slaying at the Cole Hall. He committed suicide after at the stage of the said hall. The injured were brought to Kishwaukee Community Hospital where the spokesperson said that there are actually some casualties who are still in a critical condition up to this date.
